The newspaper “Udant Martand”, which has its own importance in the history of Indian journalism, was published as a weekly newspaper from Calcutta on May 30, 1826, published by Jugal Kishore Shukla. The issues of this newspaper were published in a mixture of Khadi Boli of Hindi and Braj Bhasha. 500 copies of its first issue were published, this newspaper was published every Tuesday.
