नवीन समाचार, चम्पावत, 18 जून 2023। (Nadi men doobne se maut) हल्द्वानी से अपनी पत्नी के साथ कार से चंपावत को लौट रहे स्थानीय डिग्री कॉलेज के पूर्व छात्र संघ अध्यक्ष निर्मल मेहरा की नदी में डूबने से मौत हो गई। बताया गया है कि उन्होंने चल्थी में कार रोकी और गर्मी से निजात पाने के लिए नदी में नहाने को उतरे। इस दौरान वह नदी में जा गिरे।

प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार आज शनिवार शाम चंपावत के ग्राम मुड़ियानी निवासी निर्मल सिंह मेहरा (उम्र 37 वर्ष) पुत्र दीवान सिंह मेहरा शनिवार को अपनी कार संख्या यूके 04एएफ-9495 से हल्द्वानी से चंपावत आ रहे थे। कार में उनकी पत्नी भी सवार थी।
बताया जा रहा है कि चल्थी की लधिया नदी के पास वह कार से उतरे। इस दौरान उनका संतुलन बिगड़ गया और वह पानी के तेज बहाव की चपेट में आ गए। निर्मल को डूबता देख उनकी पत्नी सोनम ने शोर मचाया। जिसके बाद वहां मौजूद लोग मदद को आए। उन्होंने निर्मल को पानी से बाहर निकाला।
इसके बाद निर्मल मेहरा को अत्यंत गंभीर हालत में 108 एंबुलेंस के माध्यम से उप जिला चिकित्सालय टनकपुर लाया गया। वहां डॉ. आफताब आलम ने उन्हें मृत घोषित कर दिया। कोतवाल चंद्र मोहन सिंह ने बताया कि शव का पंचनामा भरकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए अस्पताल के मोर्चरी में रखवा दिया गया है। पोस्टमार्टम के बाद शव को परिजनों को सौंपा जायेगा।
बताया जा रहा है कि निर्मल के साथ उसके दोस्त का भी परिवार था। उनके दोस्त ने बताया है कि निर्मल ने चल्थी नदी में नहाने की बात कही थी। जिसके बाद सभी लोग रुक गए। नहाने के लिए निर्मल ने नदी के तालाब में छलांग लगाई, लेकिन वह काफी देर तक बाहर ही नहीं आया। मृतक निर्मल अपनी पीछे पत्नी व दो बेटियों को छोड़ गये हैं। (डॉ. नवीन जोशी) आज के अन्य एवं अधिक पढ़े जा रहे ‘नवीन समाचार’ पढ़ने के लिए यहां क्लिक करें।

Nirmal Mehra, former student union president of the local degree college, returning from Haldwani with his wife in a car to Champawat, died due to drowning in the river. According to the information received, Nirmal Singh Mehra (age 37 years), son of Dewan Singh Mehra, resident of village Mudiani, Champawat, was coming from Haldwani to Champawat in his car number UK 04AF-9495 on Saturday evening. His wife was also in the car.
It is being told that he got down from the car near the Ladhiya river in Chalthi. During this, his balance deteriorated and he got caught in the strong current of water. Seeing Nirmal drowning, his wife Sonam raised an alarm. After which the people present there came to help. He pulled Nirmal out of the water.
After this, Nirmal Mehra was brought to Sub-District Hospital Tanakpur through 108 ambulance in a very critical condition. There Dr. Aftab Alam declared him dead. Kotwal Chandra Mohan Singh told that the dead body has been kept in the mortuary of the hospital for postmortem after filling it. After the postmortem, the dead body will be handed over to the relatives.
It is being told that along with Nirmal, his friend also had a family. His friend has told that Nirmal had talked about taking a bath in the Chalthi river. After which everyone stopped. Nirmal jumped into the river pond to take a bath, but he did not come out for a long time. Deceased Nirmal has left behind his wife and two daughters.
