New Uttarakhand High Court, The Forest Department in Haldwani has commenced the transfer process of land for the proposed Uttarakhand High Court in Greater Haldwani, Gaulapar. Along with identifying the land spanning approximately 26 hectares near the International Zoo, the Forest Department has conducted a thorough survey, including a count of the trees present on the site. The survey reveals a total of 4,238 trees of various species, which will need to be felled.
Anil Joshi, the Sub-Divisional Forest Officer of Terai Central Forest Division, informed that a detailed report on the trees has been compiled after the survey. The land harbors diverse species such as rosewood, khair, and neem. The Justice Department will be responsible for the subsequent procedures. Once the land transfer is completed, necessary measures will be taken to remove the trees.
The selected plot for the High Court construction is situated in Golpapar, in proximity to the Zoo and adjacent to the previously designated site for the ISBT (Inter-State Bus Terminal).”

नवीन समाचार, हल्द्वानी, 16 जून 2023। ग्रेटर हल्द्वानी गौलापार में प्रस्तावित उत्तराखंड उच्च न्यायालय (New Uttarakhand High Court) बनाने के लिए भूमि हस्तांतरण की कार्रवाई को कैबिनेट से मंजूरी मिलने के बाद वन विभाग ने भूमि हस्तांतरण की कार्रवाई शुरू कर दी है।

इसके लिए वन विभाग ने अंतरराष्ट्रीय चिड़ियाघर से लगी करीब 26 हेक्टेयर वनभूमि पर उच्च न्यायालय के निर्माण हेतु भूमि को चयनित के साथ ही भूमि का सर्वेक्षण और यहां मौजूद पेड़ों की गिनती भी कर ली है। बताया गया है कि यहां अलग-अलग प्रजाति के कुल 4238 पेड़ हैं, जिनका कटान होना है।
तराई केंद्रीय वन प्रभाग के उप प्रभागीय वन अधिकारी अनिल जोशी ने बताया कि सर्वे के बाद पेड़ों की रिपोर्ट तैयार हो चुकी है। इस भूमि पर शीशम, खैर व नीम सहित अन्य कई प्रजातियों के 4238 पेड़ हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि आगे की प्रक्रिया न्याय विभाग को करनी है। भूमि हस्तांतरित होने के बाद पेड़ों के कटान की कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
