Furthermore, the closure of Delhi-Nainital bus services and the challenges faced by older hotels in renovating themselves have further affected the tourism industry in Nainital. Digvijay Bisht, President of the Nainital Hotel and Restaurant Association, suggests allowing vehicles with octroi stickers to enter the city directly and utilizing vacant parking spaces to alleviate congestion.
