Rehabilitation and Recovery: Dilshad's Prolonged Stay at the District Hospital

A gas cylinder explosion has rocked the Nainital District Jail situated in the Nainital district headquarters, resulting in several prisoners sustaining burns. The jail administration has downplayed the incident, attributing it to a minor gas pipe leakage.

According to sources, the blast occurred on the afternoon of June 17, contrary to the initial statement provided by the jail administration. The fire caused by the gas explosion inflicted burns on numerous prisoners. Reports indicate that over three inmates were transferred to BD Pandey District Hospital for medical treatment. Dilshad, a 36-year-old prisoner, remains hospitalized four days after the incident.
