जिला जेल में गैस सिलेंडर से ब्लास्ट ! कई बंदी झुलसे… (Nainital District Jail)
A gas cylinder explosion has rocked the Nainital District Jail situated in the Nainital district headquarters, resulting in several prisoners sustaining burns. The jail administration has downplayed the incident, attributing it to a minor gas pipe leakage.
According to sources, the blast occurred on the afternoon of June 17, contrary to the initial statement provided by the jail administration. The fire caused by the gas explosion inflicted burns on numerous prisoners. Reports indicate that over three inmates were transferred to BD Pandey District Hospital for medical treatment. Dilshad, a 36-year-old prisoner, remains hospitalized four days after the incident.
नवीन समाचार, नैनीताल, 20 जून 2023। नैनीताल जिला मुख्यालय स्थित जिला जेल (Nainital District Jail) में गैस सिलेंडर में ब्लास्ट होने की घटना प्रकाश में आई है। हालांकि जेल प्रशासन इसे गैस के पाइप में लीकेज से हुई छोटी घटना बता रहा है।
जेल प्रशासन की जगह सूत्रों से और देरी से प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार बीती 17 जून की अपराह्न यह घटना हुई। घटना में कई कैदी गैस की वजह से भड़की आग में झुलसे। तीन से अधिक कैदियों को बीडी पांडे जिला चिकित्सालय उपचार के लिए लाए जाने की भी जानकारी मिल रही है। इनमें से एक घायल 36 वर्षीय दिलशाद घटना के चार दिन बाद भी जिला चिकित्सालय में उपचार के लिए भर्ती है।
वहीं पूछे जाने पर जेल अधीक्षक संजीव ह्यांकी ने बताया कि वह अवकाश पर हैं। उनकी अनुपस्थिति में ही यह घटना हुई है। उन्होंने दावा किया कि गैस सिलेंडर के पाइस से लीकेज की वजह से यह घटना हुई। इसमें कुछ लोग झुलसे। उन्हें उपचार के लिए जिला चिकित्सालय ले जाया गया। इनमें से कुछ को प्राथमिक उपचार के बाद वापस जेल ले आया गया, जबकि एक बंदी अभी भी जिला चिकित्सालय में भर्ती है। जिला चिकित्सालय से भी एक बंदी के अभी जेल में भर्ती होने की पुष्टि हुई है।

Blast from gas cylinder in District Jail! Many prisoners were scorched.

According to the late information received from the sources instead of the jail administration, this incident took place on the afternoon of June 17. In the incident, many prisoners got scorched in the fire that broke out due to the gas. Information is also being received that more than three prisoners have been brought to BD Pandey District Hospital for treatment. One of the injured, 36-year-old Dilshad, is still admitted for treatment at the district hospital four days after the incident.
When asked there, Jail Superintendent Sanjeev Hyanki told that he is on leave. This incident happened in his absence only. He claimed that the incident took place due to leakage from the pipe of the gas cylinder. Some people got burnt in this. He was taken to the district hospital for treatment. Some of them were brought back to jail after first aid, while one prisoner is still admitted in the district hospital. It has also been confirmed from the district hospital that one prisoner has been admitted to the jail.
It is worth mentioning that against the capacity of 71 prisoners in the District Jail, there are close to 220 prisoners i.e. more than three times. In such a situation, such an accident can be horrifying.
