Water supply disruption

The Kumaun University Non-Teaching Staff Association witnessed the swearing-in ceremony of its newly elected executive body. Prominent guests, including MLA Sarita Arya and the University Vice Chancellor, Prof., graced the event. The association’s President, Dr. Mohit Sanwal, along with other office bearers, took an oath to support the reasonable demands of the employees. The meeting also highlighted the approval of proposals aimed at addressing Nainital’s traffic congestion and vehicular jam. Furthermore, land has been allocated for the installation of BSNL mobile towers in five remote villages, bringing 4G connectivity to the region. However, a JCB machine caused damage to the main water pipeline in the district, disrupting water supply to thousands of residents. Kumaun University also declared the results of various examinations, while the Shri Ram Sevak Sabha announced the organization of Shiv Puran for the first time, along with other upcoming cultural events.
