In the academic year 2023-24, several deserving students from economically disadvantaged families across all districts of Uttarakhand will receive free MBBS coaching at the renowned ‘Pradeep Academy’ in Haldwani. The organization’s Founder President, Ravi Kant Raju, expressed that this initiative aims to support talented students who face financial constraints in realizing their dreams of becoming doctors. The organization has provided a Google form on their website for online applications, which must be submitted by the evening of 25th June. To be eligible, applicants must have a minimum of 65% marks in Biology, Physics, and Chemistry in their Intermediate exams, with selection based on the highest scores. This scheme is open to students from scheduled caste-tribes and economically weaker sections. The organization plans to expand this program in the future to provide free coaching for engineering to underprivileged students as well.
Haldwani-Nainital National Highway, A major accident has occurred on the Haldwani-Nainital National Highway, as reported by Naveen Samachar. A car carrying tourists has crashed into a drain near Ampadav Matial band, approximately 20 km from the headquarters. Tragically, there have been reports of fatalities and injuries in the accident. Roadways Bus accident : A major road accident occurred in Champawat district when a roadways bus, carrying approximately 60 passengers, overturned on the Champawat-Tanakpur highway near Dhaun. The incident caused panic among the passengers, resulting in about 40 reported injuries. Currently, 17 individuals are receiving treatment at a local hospital, while 7 seriously injured victims have been referred to higher medical centers. A strange incident unfolded at Pakbada police station in Moradabad on June 17, 2023, when a local boy arrived with a girl claiming that she had come all the way from Uttarakhand to marry him. Ubaid s/o Ahmed and Jitendra Saini s/o Attar Saini, residents of Najibabad UP were arrested in this case. Both these youths used to work at a quilt mattress shop in Purola.
