In the latest case in Dehradun, a young man named Mohammad Salik, the son of an advocate from Bijnor, has been accused of exploiting two Nepali girls by using a fake Aadhaar card in the name of Lucky Rana and posing as a Hindu by wearing a counterfeit kalava. This incident has sparked outrage, with the Bajrang Dal demanding justice and labeling it as a case of ‘Human Trafficking’ and ‘Love Jihad.’ The Bajrang Dal leader, Vikas Verma ‘Saffron,’ has warned of organizing a significant movement if the police show leniency in this matter. The accused has been charged under sections 376, 419, and 420. The increasing cases of love jihad in Uttarakhand involving Hindu adult minor girls and Muslim perpetrators have raised concerns.
