High Court on Officers : The Uttarakhand High Court, headed by Chief Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Rakesh Thapliyal, has issued an order for the removal of Sunil Kumar Joshi from his position as Vice-Chancellor of Ayurvedic University. The court deemed his appointment as a violation of the rules governing the position. The decision was made after a petition filed by Vinod Kumar Chauhan, a resident of Haridwar, alleging illegal appointment and financial irregularities by Joshi. The petitioner argued that Joshi lacked the required qualifications and experience for the role, and further accused him of misusing his authority and making decisions contrary to government directives.

Parvatarohan : The Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIEM) organized a mountain biking rally as part of the ‘Vibrant Village Scheme’ in Nainital. The team reached Nainital and was welcomed at the Deodar Auditorium in the Hermitage campus of Kumaon University. Col. Anshuman Bhadauria, the Principal and Team Leader of NIEM, announced that they will climb 11 unconquered peaks in memory of the 11 apprentices who lost their lives in Draupadi’s Danda. These peaks will be named after the trainees, including Shubham Sanguri, an alumnus of Kumaon University. The program was attended by various dignitaries and members of the institute.
