The highly esteemed ‘Uttarakhand Sahitya Gaurav Samman’ of the Uttarakhand Bhasha Sansthan will be awarded to renowned Kumaoni litterateur, Devanshu, for his remarkable work ‘Kumgarh’. The director of Uttarakhand Bhasha Sansthan, IAS officer Swati S. Bhadauria, announced the selection of Devanshu, a resident of Paschim Kheda Gaulapar Haldwani in Nainital district, for his magazine ‘Kumgarh’ based on the recommendation of the ‘Uttarakhand Literature’ selection committee. The prestigious ‘Gaurav Samman’ will be presented to Bhairav Dutt Dhulia, the recipient of the award, on June 30 in the presence of the Chief Minister and Language Minister of Uttarakhand, along with prominent literary figures. Notably, Devanshu was previously honored with the Pitambar Dutt Badthwal Bhasha Samman in 2011 by the Uttarakhand Government. Devanshu’s magazine ‘Kumgarh’ has been instrumental in uniting various folk languages of the state since 2014, making it a unique platform. Additionally, Devanshu has authored numerous books and translations in the Kumaoni language.

In light of the overwhelming influx of devotees, the Nainital Police has announced new traffic arrangements for Kainchi Dham. Unlike previous years, traffic restrictions will be imposed for two days, starting from June 14.
