The State President of the Congress Party, Karan Mehra, visited former MLA Kishan Singh Tadagi on his 100th birthday, seeking his blessings. Tadagi, a prominent figure in Nainital’s political and banking sectors, was honored by Mehra and party workers who wore traditional attire. The occasion was also marked by paying tribute to the late mother of senior Congress leader Lalit Burgali and municipal councilor Deepak Burgali. Meanwhile, the Nainital Municipal Corporation organized a large-scale cleanliness campaign as part of the ongoing Cleanliness Week, aiming to engage various stakeholders and address the city’s sanitation challenges. Additionally, the Governor of Uttarakhand, Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh, met with employees and their families at the Nainital Raj Bhavan, assuring them of support and addressing their concerns. However, the number of tourists visiting Nainital has witnessed a decline due to traffic congestion and parking issues. Reports suggest that efforts are being made to alleviate the situation, redirecting traffic from specific entry points and improving road infrastructure.
