The intersections include Bus Stand, Cheena Baba, Manu Maharani, Masjid Tiraha, Tallital Rickshaw Stand, and State Bank of India Mallital intersection. A review meeting was conducted by the District Magistrate (DM) to discuss the plans for these enhancements.
During the meeting, the Executive Engineer, Ratnesh Kumar, showcased drone mapping of the identified areas where traffic congestion and disruptions persist. The DM formed a team, led by the authority’s secretary and accompanied by a traffic engineer, to thoroughly inspect the locations and develop a comprehensive action plan and Detailed Project Report (DPR) for beautification and widening by July 10.
The concerned departments have been instructed to commence the work using allocated funds starting from July 15. Additionally, departments without allocated funds were directed to submit their plans and DPRs. The DM urged stakeholders to engage in negotiations with private property owners to ensure the smooth execution of the project and provide enhanced facilities within the city. It is important to note that previous guidelines were issued by the DM regarding the improvement, beautification, and widening of 60 km of the city’s roads at strategic locations.”
