Naini Lake men gandagi

Naini Lake men gandagi, A major setback for the Rs 96 crore sewer project in Nainital as it failed its first rain test. Despite claims of completion within a month, the project, aimed at restoring the aging sewer pipeline on Mall Road, suffered from intermittent progress since January. During heavy rainfall, the work done under the project was washed away, causing the sewer line to overflow once again near the tourism office on Mall Road. This failure highlights the need for the project, as the old sewer line used to overflow during rains, leading to a significant amount of sewage entering the nearby Naini Lake.

Kerala connection

A concerning trend of increasing “love jihad” incidents in Uttarakhand has raised suspicions of a “Kerala connection.” The cases involve the abduction of Hindu girls by individuals associated with a sect called “Love Jihad,” who engage in physical abuse and coercion for religious conversion. Authorities, including the police, are investigating the surge in such incidents from multiple angles. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attributes the rise in reported cases to the implementation of stricter laws and government vigilance on conversions. Critics, however, claim that the BJP-led government in Uttarakhand is prioritizing these matters under the influence of the RSS. Furthermore, demands have been made to screen the film “Kerala Story” to raise awareness among the state’s daughters. Recent media reports highlight 8-10 love jihad cases in the western Dehradun area, including an incident involving blackmail, forced physical relations, and obscene videos. The victim sought help from the Hindu organization Vedic Mission, leading to the arrest of the perpetrator and his brother. Notably, three cases in Pachhwa Dehradun district involve suspects who had been in Kerala for months, prompting an investigation into their activities and possible connections to the “Kerala Story” movie. The involvement of barbers and mobile mechanics is a common thread in many cases. These incidents, along with the fear of unreported cases due to public shame, point to a well-planned conspiracy linked to love jihad, even in minor seduction cases. Authorities are also examining the potential role of love jihad in altering Uttarakhand’s demography. The police are investigating if Muslim youths from Uttarakhand are being trained in Kerala for such activities, as well as the existence of any local conspiracies. Furthermore, inter-religious marriages over the past five years are under scrutiny, and individuals involved in these marriages are being investigated. The Uttarakhand Police have issued a directive to take action against anyone who violates the law, regardless of their religion. The Uttarakhand Freedom of Religion Amendment Act, enacted in 2018, requires individuals marrying outside their religion to inform the district magistrate one month in advance, with penalties of up to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50,000 for non-compliance.

मजदूर युवक से मिलने मुरादाबाद (Moradabad) पहुंच गई अल्मोड़ा की लड़की, फिर जो हुआ

Moradabad Premi Premika

A strange incident unfolded at Pakbada police station in Moradabad on June 17, 2023, when a local boy arrived with a girl claiming that she had come all the way from Uttarakhand to marry him. Although the boy is willing to marry her, he fears opposition from the girl’s family. As a result, the police are making efforts to establish contact with the girl and her family members in order to convince them. The girl, a resident of Someshwar in Almora district, arrived at her lover’s house in Moradabad and insisted on marriage. Despite the lover’s request to bring her family along, she declined. Consequently, both of them went to the police station, where they spent several hours. The Pakbada police reported that the boy had previously visited Someshwar for work and met the girl, who lived in the neighborhood. They developed a relationship and maintained regular phone contact. While the boy had been trying to persuade his own family, the girl unexpectedly arrived, prompting him to seek assistance from the police to prevent potential issues with her family in the future. The police made extensive efforts to pacify the girl and establish communication with her family members.

हाईकोर्ट ने सरकार से पूछा कि ऐसे कितने लोगों को सुरक्षा दी है, जिन पर आपराधिक मुकदमे दर्ज हैं..? (VIP Security)

VIP Security, A division bench comprising Chief Justice Vipin Sanghi and senior justice Manoj Kumar Tiwari of the Uttarakhand High Court has requested the state government to provide comprehensive information regarding individuals with pending criminal cases who have been granted security. The court has set a deadline of the second week of July to submit the required details. The request was made during the hearing of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed on behalf of Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar, seeking Y-plus security.

The PIL, filed by Haridwar resident Bhagat Singh, contends that MLAs are provided security guards under the pretext of safety measures. Additional security personnel are assigned if an MLA faces any potential threats. However, in Umesh Kumar’s case, it is alleged that the standard procedure, which involves the submission of a report by the local intelligence unit (LIU) to the police department, was not followed. The MLA was reportedly granted Y-plus security solely based on his application, despite having personal security and no apparent life-threatening risks.

The petitioner highlights the LIU’s report, which states that Umesh Kumar faces no threat to his life, and asserts that his Y-plus security should be revoked. Furthermore, the PIL questions the rationale behind providing police protection to individuals who are not in danger from anyone, emphasizing that such practices amount to the misuse of police resources. The primary responsibility of the police, as per the petitioner, is to safeguard the general public.

It is worth noting that the High Court has previously emphasized, in one of its orders, that the police’s duty is to protect individuals facing genuine threats to life and property, and security should only be granted after a thorough investigation.”
