Roadways Bus accident : A major road accident occurred in Champawat district when a roadways bus, carrying approximately 60 passengers, overturned on the Champawat-Tanakpur highway near Dhaun. The incident caused panic among the passengers, resulting in about 40 reported injuries. Currently, 17 individuals are receiving treatment at a local hospital, while 7 seriously injured victims have been referred to higher medical centers. Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported so far. The bus was en route from Reetha Sahib Gurudwara to Punjab when the accident took place.

Nainital News 16 June 2023, In a shocking incident, a garbage vehicle belonging to the municipality lost control due to brake failure and rolled down a steep slope before crashing onto the roof of a house. The driver, Rehmat Ali, and his assistant, Mukesh Kumar, narrowly escaped with minor injuries. They were promptly taken to BD Pandey District Hospital for first aid. The accident occurred while the vehicle was returning from Stoneley compound in Nainital, carrying a load of garbage. The impact caused the garbage to scatter around the area.

Naveen Samachar, Nainital, 8 June 2023. An elderly couple in the city celebrated their wedding anniversary at night, but the elders did not wake up in the morning. He was taken to the hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead. Police is investigating the cause of death by conducting postmortem of the dead body of the elderly. According to the relatives of the deceased, the doctors have declared the cause of death as heart attack., raatri mein shaadee kee saalagirah manaee, subah mrt mile pati naveen samaachaar, naineetaal, 8 joon 2023. nagar mein ek bujurg dampati ne raatri mein shaadee kee varshagaanth manaee, lekin subah bujurg nahin uthe. unhen chikitsaalay le jaaya gaya, jahaan chikitsakon ne unhen mrt ghoshit kar diya. pulis bujurg ke shav ka postamortam karaakar mrtyu ke kaaranon kee jaanch kar rahee hai. chikitsakon ne mrtak ke parijanon ke batae anusaar mrtyu ka kaaran hrdayaaghaat bataaya hai.
