She also revealed that her daughter had been molested by him six months ago. Fearing for her safety, the woman had been residing at her parents’ house. The accused has been taken into custody by the Berinag police, and charges have been filed against him under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.
