Commissioner : The Kumaon Divisional Commissioner, Deepak Rawat, has given instructions to restrict traffic on Raj Bhavan Road in Nainital due to ongoing road construction. The work is expected to last for 20 to 25 days. The Commissioner has directed the Superintending Engineer to increase manpower and provide daily progress reports. Additionally, the police have been instructed to enforce a complete ban on vehicles accessing the damaged road, and legal action will be taken against those who violate the ban.

Digvijay Bisht, President of the Nainital Hotel and Restaurant Association, suggests allowing vehicles with octroi stickers to enter the city directly and utilizing vacant parking spaces to alleviate congestion.
